Thanks Rhound for the continued support. You're right, there were a couple of instances that I tilted away some coin $20+ at a time. I won't bore you and the other readers with the specific hands, but they were monstroticies, that's for sure.

I guess better I learn these lessons at $25 than $50 NL for obvious reasons.

Luckily I quit the second session tonight quickly. I have a 3x buy in cap, and almost lost it twice tonight (two sittings). Maybe I should extend that to x for day, not for session.

Have you tried anywhere besides UB? Even at NL25, there are some decent bonuses you can knock down at other sites. It's not the same as winning it with your game, but it really helps even out the downswings. Both Paradise and Party have signup bonuses that are easily clearable at NL25. Ongames is tougher to clear, but it still pays more than UB bonus.

Don't lose heart. You're good enough to beat NL25. Some days things just don't go right. I lost two buy ins last night playing against the worst competition I've seen in a week. It happens.

Finished down $14.96 tonight. Didn't play for very long at all, just because I couldn't take it. Plain and simple. My threshold for tilt has gone down 1000% during the last few days. No bad plays tonight, but just the combination of no AK/AQ type hands hitting, no CB's working, and no action when I did hit not to mention no sets drove me out of the game tonight.

I find it hard to believe that all my opponents are on to me...if someone tells me that everyone at $25 NL is honestly using PT and reading me then I quit, because I don't have the time to put into this to become an expert player as quickly as some other people do and quite honestly I don't see SSNL getting any easier anytime soon, in fact, it's probably just going to get harder and become a total waste of time and breakeven at best - the rake will beat us all.

WEEK ENDING JUNE 25, 2006

Well this week went south in a hurry. Went from being on the brink of moving up to losing almost 9 buy-ins over the last four days. WTF? I'd say 7 of them are due to variance, I'll take responsibility for $50 of it or so. Variance really hates me it seems...have a horrible downrun last month, recover just in time to get punched in the face again. Great.

I'm losing over almost 21K hands now. I'm pretty angry with myself actually. Maybe I'm asking the wrong questions here at BTP. Problem is I don't really know what to ask. I post hands, respond to hands, make adjustments accordingly but still somehow manage to either lose a big pot or win a small one. Again, if I can't beat $25 NL, it may be time for RR to hit the road.

I may take some time off (like two months) and focus on SNG's for the rest of the summer like I mentioned last night. Somehow dealing with variance in $11 increments is better than dealing with it in the form of reloadable stacks vs. regular people I see night after night. I'll update with what I decide.

Thanks for the info Rhound. Prima is okay so far, they have a definate lack of full ring tables...but for a free 100 bucks, I am not complaining. I will probably not play there in the future unless there is a nice bonus.
