I got a new laptop computer and was setting up Poker Tracker and Poker Ace HUD, so I fired up a couple of NL tables last night on the Party Network to see if I had configured it properly. Was surprised when you set down at 1 of the tables as I thought that you generally played limit.

Laughed to myself that the first thing that I thought of when you sat down was "Don't Mess With His Blinds" as I have tried to follow your Blind Defense advice posts when I used to play Limit. (without much success, evidently my hand reading skills in this regard suck and I was usually up against the monster hand that they represented)

I didn't chat too much as there were 3 horrible players just waiting to stack themselves, and I've found that any type of talk about strategy or web sites talking about strategy only makes them suspicious. It was too bad that all 3 of them stacked themselves (to someone besides you or I) on 1 hand and left But it was nice to play with someone that I felt like I knew casually and was "Famous", even if only from the best internet forum.

I can't take another phucking hand of poker today. Just got killed by the Poker Stars donks at the 3-6 limit tables and didn't fair much better at the NL 50 tables today. A one hand synopsis of my day.

Well took a little break and got my composure back together and then went back to the 50 NL Party tables and recovered nearly 3 stacks to cut into my loss for the day a little bit. Did try 18 tabling earlier today and after about 30 minutes recognized that that was just too much for my feeble mind to attend to so I cut it back to 10 and have no problems at all handling that number so I guess that will be where I stay at.

Yeah ds she is Venezuelan and she definately has some fire burning inside My track record with encountering alot of hot-blooded American women is pretty unspectacular with the exception of some of the Cajun women who could definately hold their own but other than that give me a women with some color in her and I'll leave those gringo women for the other guys to take care of

Well today was one of those up and down days were you lose a stack win a stack lose a stack win a stack. I played fairly well with the exception of a couple of hands that I played pretty poorly and that is not a good think in NL and something I have to keep working on to get the donkitude to the bare minimum. Lost a big pot on a Q32 two tone flop when my set of 2's ran into a set of 3's and the worse hand that suceeded to get all of the money in on the flop with AQ drawing virtually dead. Having a hard time avoiding flushes lately as well but oh well just got to get back in the saddle and ride it out. Break time for a beer run.

Well I played about as well as I can play in the afternoon session. Didn't win a whole lot but escaped from some big hands that were beat and only donked off 10-20.00 over the session of about 1200 hands. A nice hand here as I was almost positive they had AK after the flop call.

Also been a few folks commenting on the lack of success with mainly just playing pocket pairs and AK or AQ in position. Well that strategy should have some success BUT you have to play well post flop and from the blinds. Here is an example of picking up a small pot today where I just knew the guys didn't have shit. If you are not playing many hands you should still have your minds open as to when you can take a pot down that either no one wants or when someone is just throwing out a small bet trying to pick it up in position.

Played just a little 7 stud this morning. Little by little climbing out of the BR pit that I found myself in a couple of weeks ago. I have a flight to come to the US on Friday but haven't decided if I will travel or not as there are still alot of things to take care of here regarding the house and I also don't have that much free capital for the trip unless I get on a real heater in the next week.

Put in a 400 hand or so NL session and think I played just about as good as I could which is always nice. Made about a buy in.

Not a very big loss after rake and bonuses are thrown in but just frustrating as hell.

Put an afternoon session in of 10 tabling the 50 NL game and busted them up pretty good. My NL game is coming back into very good form. If the live games in Vegas are anyway like the live PL games I was playing here then I can see some serious asswhipping going on when i hit town

A pretty nice morning session of 50 NL that could have been quite a bit nicer barring a couple of nasty river cards. I am very pleased right now with my NL play and although a very tight strategy it is getting the job done as my post flop play is getting really fine tuned. The second hand of the session got me off to a bad start but what are you going to do

Well barring something unforeseen between now and Friday I will be flying into the U.S. on Friday evening. MVP has gratiously agreed to put me up for a few days in Florida before I head out to Houston the following Wednesday. Going to be staying with my best friend there for a while and probably playing some golf, shooting some hoops and trying to run this sorry excuse for a BR up again to a reasonable level. Once that is achieved will probably roll out to Vegas for a while before returning back here until probably Decemberish.

Well another session of 1200 hands or so across 10 tables and I was absolutely card dead on all of them as far as I can remember. Made a couple of nice float plays to keep near the break even point for the session but other than that nothing at all to speak of one way or the other. Perhaps try to get in another late night session.

In other news I guess my U.S. trip is a definate go now as I had Xas purchase me an airline ticket to Houston. Sucks being without a debit card here to do things like that. Mine expired back in April and my wife's expired in February and all attempts to get new ones through the "mail system" here have proved futile.
