I agree kenny. He seems bright enough to know that he needs help and how to get it...but some people are so stubborn or full of pride that they're pretty much rendered incapable of seeking help. Maybe his blog is the most he can do?

A mate of mine has been going through some kind of mental illness for the last year or two, related to a heap of family shit in his past, but when anyone has suggested he seeks help he immediately becomes aggressive and lashes out irrationally like a wounded animal.

His pride simply won't let him admit there's anything wrong with him, while it's obvious to friends, family and passers by who get caught up in it that there's something seriously wrong with him. Does/should anyone who knows him blame him for this? Absolutely not.
