The other day I was playing a live $100 SnG at a friend of a friend's house. It got down to heads up and we were all kinda watching. The button raised and the BB shoved. The button said "well I have 2 face cards, but they're pretty bad." He had QJ, and he showed a couple of us who were watching. He pondered briefly.
I said "Well, it's pretty simple math, just take a look at your pot odds."
"Pot odds? This is the whole tournament man." said Dan.
I lost a lot of respect for Dan.

If I ain't sinkin', well I must be swimin' If I ain't dead, I must be livin' Livin' is the thing, that scares me the most And if I ain't sleepin', well I better be fishin' If I ain't anchored I will be driftin' But all and all, I'm doing pretty good, since I hit my third coast!

So.. what kind of conclusions are we supposed to draw from that?
a) you're a really good player?
a1) you're bragging for no particular reason?
b) just possessing a magic copy of HoH volume 1 will make you win MTTs?
c) you needed to play for 2 years before getting the hang of it, whereas I played for about 1 month after working through the blue and redbook and got similar results?
