Well i moved up to 200NL and gave myself 5 buyins to screw around with and make things work. Just everytime i played there i'm getting check/raised and all kinda stuff that hardly ever happens at 100NL, i would like some generic advice and thoughts on the following hands..


I played 9.2 hours over there and i'm at -23.58 PTBB/100 so it raised some questions in my head. it isn't all bad play variance plays a role but certainly not all of it. Definately

Guy is 40/20/4 and has been my nemesis throughout this 1 hour of play

They're probably really obvious hands but the bet sizes screw my head still and it hurts my self confidence running so bad at the next level, doesn't exactly make me play better..

Hand 1 is just fuggly... Don't call a raise OOP w/ AQ... If you DO and hit trips, bet the goddamn thing... Not sure about the river, as I thinkk it's likely he has KK there and you coulda stacked him... Or AK and you're dead.. or MEH... Stop callin raises OOP w/ AQ... Problem solved...

Hand 2 is fine... I'd call that river and expect to lose a decent amount of time... I'd bet $3 he has KQ...

Hand 3... no reads, I can't call that... Youre behind a buttload of hands, and only ahead of AJ... I'd bet a little closer to pot on the flop though...

#1) Fine up until when he raised the river. Im pushing in every time.

#2) Fold the river.

#3) Fold to the all in


Move to 6 max. Trust me!

Hand 1: Reraising >>>> folding > calling. After that flop, get more money in.

Hand 2: Easy river fold. There's no draw on that flop and very few players will float you OOP in a full ring game, unless they suck or you have a crazy image.

Hand 3: Looks like a call for 2:1.

i woulda pushed the second nuts on the river for hand one. (to be honest I suspected kk, ak gets my stack every time here).

I think I woulda called hand three.

On hand 2 I was thinking about hands like middle pair (A8s) or 99/TT (JJ would probably raise)

I was thinking calling the river is standard. I guess Im way off. Good thing I can learn here instead of at the table.
