hey this was at my first session at Hollywood poker and a few hands of interest came up. No HH because I didn't read the instructions from pokertracker before hand. All this is from memory so it might not add up to the cent. I appreciate your patience with text based synopsis. I tried to spice it up with html.

50 NLFR at Hollywood Poker

hand 1
Im sitting with a fullstack and limp with 7c8c on the button. Flop 2c9c10c pot is about 3 dollars. UTG bets 1, folds around to me and I reraise to 4. UTG calls. UTG has about 75 but is complaining about it being hard to 2 table in the chat, no reads but that indicates donkness. Turn-7h, pot is 11, UTG checks and I bet 9, he calls. River 6d.pot is like 30. UTg bets out 5 i reraise to 30 (leaving me with 5 left) and UTG calls and shows KdKc.

Should I have played this slower just calling the block/test bet on the river in fear of a higher flush? Was aggression appropriate on flop/turn to prevent him from calling with draw?(which he did nonetheless)

Hand 2

Few rotations later at the same table and I pick up KdKc on the button. Guess what UTG min raises in first positon. It folds around to me and I reraise to 4, UTG calls. Flop Js10s3d. I bet pot(like 8) he calls. turn 9h. he checks and I pushed(he had like 20 remaining) and callled. I won the hand, he mucked and cant check HH to see what he had.

Did I play KK too hard here? It doesnt seem so( to me at least) but I would hate to get married to the hand and would feel like I did if he showed AA or JJ.

Hand 3

different table in the big blind with Ah3h. 3 limpers. SB completes and i check. flop Kh10h8s. Sb checks I check, mp1 bets out 2 into a 4.5 pot and I call. No one else does. turn Ad. I check villain bets 5 i call. river 8d I make a block bet of 6 and she calls. Villain shows 8h9h. I make a little note on this sluts avatar. Can't comprehend the lack of a reraise on that river by her but w.e.

At which point here should I have folded? Was the block bet appropriate(size-wise and strategically)?

All comments appreciated, a game or two of beirut and I'll be back to check responses-if any- Corey

Hand 1: I like it. The blocking bet did smell of weakness, and there's so much you beat (he would call with any 8...) I suspect a higher flush would bet properly on the river (or big CR).

Hand 2: Ok IMO, due to his stack. Helps having a read on what the min raise utg means though. For full stacks maybe consider checking behind on turn?

Hand 3: Hmmm... Maybe bet the turn as you now have TP w nut FD. Personally I don't make blocking bets, I'll rather check and get junk hands to bluff. Seems ok though.

Bet full pot on the flop in hand 3 and take it down. If you didn't do it then, do it on the turn.

I think hand one, you have to protect your low flush and he could well be drawing to a better flush, unless he suddenly raises I don't worry about a higher flopped flush.

Hand two, you are pretty aggressive with KK, but I think you have to be at this level unless you have a read on this guy saying he is tricky, most people will slow play AA preflop but I don't know many who will carry on slow playing the flop and turn on a dangerous board like that. I think he had QQ. or even worse, AJ.

Hand three, I probably bet quite aggressively on the turn, nearly full pot, you now have the NFD and top pair, if the villian has top pair or even a set you can represent the straight beacuse the ace hit.
I don't mind your blocking bet, but what kind of a CS donk doesn't raise it with trips there? I think you lost the minimum there!
