#1) Very short session so no reads. UTG limps, I raise to $20 with [Th]. UTG calls heads up.

Pot $46 Flop [6d][4s]. He check/calls my $30 bet

Pot $104. Turn . He leads $16 and has $95 behind. I push. Thoughts.


#2) Just a couple hands later. Cutoff and button limp. I raise to $24 in the BB with [Kd]. They both call.

Pot $76. Flop [Qh][7c]. I check, cutoff checks, button bets $64. i call and cutoff folds.

Pot $204. Turn . I open push all in. Its $215 to him. Thoughts? This is same villain from hand #1

I think the push in hand one is ok. Following the betting, check called flop by the villain and weak lead on the turn, sure does seem like a flush draw. In any case, the push seems to make sense to me (villian being short and all). As played, I think a fd is a more likely holding than a weak k.

Hand two is the one that I'm a bit skeptical about. Flush hits, you can't beat a queen, the push is likely to get weaker hands to fold, but the stronger hands are not likely to fold here (ie flush, trips).

Unless something happened in hand one to set up the villian calling loosely in hand two, I can't see the push as a good move.

I'm OK with the push in one as it's more likely a bad player with a flush draw than anything else..

I don't like the push in 2 - you are trying to fold out a Q to your repped flush draw (without him being real weak-tight) and that could have made his own flush or boat as well.

you should be carefull with these weak leads , like hand 1, I think most of the time they whant to say that they have a hand and you shoul respct that
he put about 50$ in the pot and has 95 left, with TPTK, well, most of the guys out there will not fold that
hand 2, this really is the case where only the better hand will call, I think a bet would get you the same result as the push, maybe even make him call off some chips. he might have something like TT and you scared him off. The only thing good about this is that you put the heat on him , took donw the pot, and did not give a chance for a bluff on his behalf, but i think in the long run , without a read this is trouble , and that goes for both hands
