I can't find the hand in my PT, so I don't really have a read... I prolly had one at the time, but can't recall...

Folds to me on the button, I raise to $4 w/ ... SB reraises to $10... I call... We both have about $120...

Flop ... Pots about $20 and he leads $20 fairly quickly...

Call...??? Push...??? Raise...??? Muck... ???

My only read that I can remember is that he DIDN'T seem like the kinda guy that's lettin go of an overpair on this board...

If I was confident in my reads, then I would call and reevaluate on the turn.
Odds look roughly okay if you can extract a bit on the turn if you hit or if you can get a free/cheap river.
You might even be able to take this pot away from him if you think he has overcards (but I wouldn't count on this).

What's wrong with just calling?

Your hand is extremely well disguised. If he's unwilling to let go of an overpair then you have decent implied odds (calling 20 to win 130 = 1:7.5 when you're 1:5 to improve).

You also have position, he could have a missed AK, and you have a sneaky backdoor flush draw.

With low fold equity obviously pushing is bad, and with (implied) odds to call folding isn't that good either. If you're afraid of variance you should of course fold but if you're afraid of variance you shouldn't be raising 54s in the first place.

If he has AK and checks the turn you'll get a free card with 14 outs and a chance to bluff him off the pot on a blank river (or bluff on the turn of course). If you pick up a heart on the turn you'll have odds to call a pot bet on the turn (practically anything but an all-in). Lots of good things can happen! Chase!!

Also if this guy is a decent player he isn't going to put you on small cards, and if he has a standard reraise hand (AA, KK, QQ) then your fold equity is going to be very small. I guess he could think you have pocket 6s or 7s, but it's doubtful you would raise w/ position there. I think calling with good implied odds and position is he best play, followed by folding and then raising.

when I raise something like 54 and hit an OESD I don't mind gamboling it up somewhat. Mostly because it does wonders for my image, but also I think he missed here so I am raising it up

I don't make it a habit or calling all in's with an OESD but at the same time I am representing a big hand by raising in the first place

I think calling is a fine option as well. I wouldn't say this is a typical play for me however I wouldn't mind a shot at a free card on the turn and I think the chances of me winning the pot outright are fairly good
