How Quickly Can One Go On Tilt

Postby MTPaid » Wed Jul 19, 2006 4:16 pm

I move down another level and I wait a half hour to get a seat at a table at AP.

2nd hand I have [Ac][5c] in the SB and it's folded to me. BB defends with 72o and wins. I know I'm not a big favorite, but it's nice to win some of these.

Few hands later, same orbit limped [Ah][Th] in MP with 3 other limpers. Flop is 99Q. Nobody bets. Turn is A. I bet, caller behind. River is a rag. I bet figuring caller needs AK or 9 to beat me with this board. Caller raises, I call and he shows AK. Never raised PF. Never raised to river.

Now less than 15 hands in, the table I waited 30 minutes to get a seat is down to 5 players. Player in CO has raised last 3 hands. Now he raises for 4th straight and I call with [Ad][8d] in SB. Flop is A high, I check raise. He calls. Turn rag, he calls. River 4. He raises. He has A4o.

Table empties and I waited a half hour to lose 1/3rd stack in 15 hands.

Next table. Two hands in I turn K-high flush on board of 2-4-T-J w/ 3 spades. River is T. My opponent has JT.

Few hands later I turn J high flush with A of suit on board. Now since there are 4 hears on board I'm cautious because 2 cards beat me. Of course, opponent has Q high flush.

30 hands in and already down 2/3rd's of a stack combined.

F*** Limit Poker!!!!

The bet in your A10 hand is useless and spewing, either its a split or you're beat, so just check call.

Holy SOB!!!

KJs vs 74%VP$IP. I raise to get it heads up and flop a King. He check raises a 3rd heart on the turn, but since he plays every single hand I don't believe him. 4th heart hits on the river. He wins with [Kc][2h]

Very next hand I raise QQ on the button. Flop 9T6 all different suits. One caller. Turn is 7. He check-raises and shows 38s like he's proud of it.

KK UTG. Raise, get re-raised. AA. 3rd time in less than a week my KK has been against AA.

Right now, my GT+ is showing that every person with a VP$IP over 40% on my 2 tables is a big winniner. Anyone under 25% is a loser.

Pocket 10's. Lost that one too, but that's expected. 2nd pair of 10's today. 2 cold-callers each time and QJ on flop each time.

Wait, pocket 10's again on the other table. Only 3 callers this time and flop comes J34. They all check, I bet, all call. Turn 4. All check, I bet, 1st limper check raises and last one calls 2 cold, I fold. River J. Two idiots have A2o and 93o. Sweat to god, I'll give you the hand number.

Holy crap I just won a hand. Flopped a set with 88. And another one w/ AJs in the SB when I called a 20%PFR, flopped an Ace and check raised. He called down with pocket 7's.

Still down a little over a buy-in, but I don't feel like I want to kill someone anymore so I can end this post.

Last thing: Conversation overheard between 2 idiots before.
Board of 56T8A. (Notice no J or K on board.Players show KJ and A7.
KJ: river rat
KJ: nice suckout
A7: sorry, but I had a lot of outs

Really thought I was done tilting for the day, but this is the 3rd hand of the late session.

F'in AK again....
Absolute Poker
Limit Holdem Ring game
Limit: $0.25/$0.5
9 players

Pre-flop: (9 players) PayMeDaMoney is MP2 with [Ac] [Kh]
UTG raises, 2 folds, PayMeDaMoney 3-bets, 5 folds, UTG calls (6.4:1).

Flop: [Td] [9d] [Ks] (7.4SB, 2 players)
UTG checks, PayMeDaMoney bets, UTG calls (8.4:1).

Turn: [Kd] (4.7BB, 2 players)
UTG checks, PayMeDaMoney bets, UTG calls (5.7:1).

River: [Js] (6.7BB, 2 players)
UTG bets, PayMeDaMoney calls (7.7:1).

Results:
Final pot: 8.7BB
UTG Shows Qh Ah
PayMeDaMoney mucks Ac Kh

It's 4 outter after 3 outter after 1 outter after 4 outter again and again and again and again.

Then a couple of hands later I get into a big pot with someone who 3 bet PF with 43s the hand before. Idiot decided to limp, I limp QJs on the button, then 3 bets when BB raises. I know he's full of it so I call and when flop comes Q-high I raise the idiots flop bet to knock the BB out who checked. Of course the idiot turned a pair and rivered 2 pair.

Then of course another table that I waited 20 minutes for breaks up after I lose a couple of monster pots.

89 hand vs idiot - 57 VP$IP - 18 PFR - 68 WTSD - +18BB/100. I guess this is how you win. Everyone who acts like an idiot is a big winner.

94 hands vs - 35 VP$IP - 16 PFR - 8.66 AF + 26BB/100 - another big winner.

Me, I've only lost 12 of my last 18 sessions. And 3 of the positive ones were barely break even. Jesus Christ, I've been beaten so soundly by hands I crush preflop that I've dropped down 2 levels from 1/2 to .25/.50 just to get back on tracked and I get thrashed at every single level.

Sarcastic question: Should I be limping AK, TT, and KK preflop and folding after the flop if I don't hit a set or 2 pair? I seem to see everyone else actually winning with these hands.

Finally! Because of this hand I actually ended up only down 7BB in the late session. I actually caught KK a few hands later and won the blinds. Woohoo, 2 in a row. Next step is to win a damn session.

Lost 4 hands tonight that I was 80% or more to win on the flop, and 4 hands that I was 80% to win after the turn, 2 hands that I was 90%+ to win after the turn. I know those numbers didn't even out because I only won 25 out of 447 hands played tonight (5.6%) and 5 of those didn't even see a flop.
