I am burned out. Too much studying. I decided to knock off after doing a practice MBE (131, not great, but I had a couple stretches where I lost concentration). Decided to take the rest of the night off, so I am now watching the tigers game and playing some 1/2 stud on interpoker. I havent played any stud on the cryptos since may. I have been playing tourneys on stars, because I just dont have the time to put in with the bar.

I sit down at a table with a huge average pot size ($21 at 1/2). There are several agressive players. I sit and miss with aces and queens in the first 25 hands or so.

Jules had been extremely agressive, and I decided that I wanted to try and cool him off by c/ring a couple times, just to see if he would fold. I happened into the perfect hand for it. This is the first hand I can remember ever getting off two check raises in the same hand.

The bar is over, done and not to be worried about for a couple months. Went well. Got a great essay draw.

My stud game (after two months of questionable play and two months off) is a bit rusty, to be generous.

Im not going to play stud on stars, but I am going to be playing some of the 3, 5 and 20 table sngs on stars. I used to play them at the micro levels and I am going to get back into them.
I feel like I have an advantage in picking up chips when it gets down to the final table bubble compared to the average sng player.
Also, I think it is great practice for those late MTT situations in getting from 3 tables to the final table, which makes a big difference.

My stud game has gone to crap over the past couple months. I guess that is what a couple months off will do. I restarted my db and am going to try to get things on track by playing 25k hands at 1/2 before moving back up.

I am still having problems with unimproved big pairs. One of these days (probably aound my 5k checkup) I will go through and post some hands.

Anyway, where was I? Oh yeah, this place changing. I think I am going to stay out of the majority of the board for the next month or so. I am going to restrict myself to other poker games, MTT, and a few select journals (Piers, ED, MVP, MK, maybe a couple others).

So through 3k or so, I am running at 1.01/100. But I have also lost rolled to flushes twice and am 2/7 with a high 4 flushes on 4th over the last 400 hands or so. I have a feeling it will turn around.

I am still faced with a bigger problem though.
There is rarely, if ever, a 2/4 game running at the cryptos, let alone 2.
I will still be playing the cryptos every month, for the bonuses, but I need to find somewhere (may end up being stars or party) that consistently has 2/4 and 3/6 games running late night (1 am est) us/early morning euro time. Any suggestions.
