PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.02 BB (8 handed) from (Format: Bet The Pot)

saw flop|saw showdown

UTG ($0.64)
UTG+1 ($7.36)
Hero ($5.34)
MP2 ($3.72)
CO ($2.81)
Button ($0.90)
SB ($2.25)
BB ($2.98)

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with [Ts], [Qs].
2 folds, Hero calls $0.02, MP2 calls $0.02, 2 folds, SB completes, BB checks.

MP2 plays 80% of his hands and will never raise. He loves to call. I have been making pot sized bets all session and he has been calling them all. On an earlier hand I held KK and before the flop UTG raised 3x's, I was next to raise and raised 10x's knowing MP2 would call it and he did. I then bet the pot on the flop an he called. I bet half on the turn and he folded. He asked what I had and I told him 44. He said "You bluffed me off my JJ".

With all that in mind I played this hand.

Flop: ($0.08) [4s], [9c], [Ks] (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $0.08, MP2 calls $0.08, SB folds, BB folds.

Turn: ($0.24) [Jh] (2 players)
Hero bets $0.2, MP2 calls $0.20.

River: ($0.64) [3s] (2 players)
Hero bets $5.04 (All-In), MP2 folds.

Since I bet the turn I thought he wouldn't put me on a flush draw. Did I waste an opportunity on this one? I think this bet may get called often enough to show a profit.

This has happened a few times this month so its something Im thinking about. Looking for ways to improve my play. Thanks for the help. *edit* Forgot to ask, anyone raise first in with this one??

Final Pot: $5.68

I fold it preflop, but I am a tight set miner blacknight wannabe :D

As played, I think you over bet the pot here. Unless your opponent has an Ace high flush here, he is not gonna call. MP2 appears to like calling things, I would have bumped it up to 2/3 of the pot, or maybe even the whole pot. That is something that MP2 could justify calling, since he has already put .40 into the pot on the flop and turn.

Are you playing this hand in EP because you feel you are a better player than these guys and can out play them post flop? If so, that's great BUT--- I was playing these low limit games not all that long ago, and while the play is very poor, playing this in EP this is a bad habit (IMHO). I think it breeds bad habits as you move up...On the rare occasion I do play this hand (in EP), I raise 100% of the time. More often, I will raise one limper in LP or call after several limpers looking for a miracle flop.

As played, the flop and turn were fine...

The overbet works some of the time (and maybe more at these games?) but I think I tone it down and BTP...maybe even 1.5 X pot, but you want a call here, and even a CS has to have SOME kinda reason to call a big bet...
