I think his flop bet is representing: "i want to let you know i have a High PP so please fold or call me down with A8" So i gave him the opposite and semi-bluffed him.
Is this standard?
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (5 handed)
MP ($197.40)
Hero ($196.50)
SB ($195)
BB ($220.35)
UTG ($508.25)
Preflop: Hero is Button with
,
. SB posts a blind of $1.
2 folds,
Hero raises to $7,
1 fold,
BB raises to $18, Hero calls $13.
Flop: ($41)
,
,
(2 players)
BB bets $40,
Hero calls $176.50 (All-In),
This hand had me thinking about the following:
against the typical player who can't lay down an overpair this is obvious spitting.
against a smart player who thinks you're good too knows you're capable of making a move and is likely to call too. again spitting
So this would only work versus weak tight pussy's? Or people who view you as weak=tight??
EDIT: took a look at the equity and i have 37-63 So it's obvious a fold can be no good. And since calling won't leave me any fold equity on the turn i think i maximed my Value on this hand right?? Afterwards it does look pretty standard.
Results later.
