1.In this years WSOP Phil Hellmuth showed up late at the begining. The commentator made it seem like he does it all the time. Is this really allowed, doesn't this give him an advantage, how late can he be. Can somebody talk about this a little.

2. Doesn't being at the feature table early in a tourny (or ever) suck. If I was a pro and I got called to the feature table I would be like "shit I got to go play against the best players in the world instead of staying here with these idiots"

Also if I'm a 21 year old who happens to be beating everyones ass and I am the chip leader and ESPN thinks it's interesting, and calls me to the feature table I would be like no thanks. How does this work, do they have to go, for how long, and how is it determined. Thanks

1 when you say pass hands do you mean forfit the blinds too.

2.The disadvantage is i think it's harder to win when your at those feature tables.I fyou end up in the top twenty you will be on tv anyway, i just think it's a disadvantage early in the tourny when theres tons of fish around.

Tooters... I think they just randomly draw players, and pick the "featured table" from the one that has the most premier players in it... I don't think they pick and choose who goes to what table... I think that's the misunderstanding...
Also, if you show up late to a tourney, it's basically like pushing "autofold" on your computer... you fold every hand and every blind until you show up... He probably just does it cause he's an a**hole, and he thinks it intimidates other players when he makes his grand entrance....

No the main table in most major tournies is the only one with cameras so it's not randomly gone to when a lot of good players happen to be at one table. There is a featured table that players are moved to no question. My question still stands do they have to move and if not why would they.

As far as Phil goes, why would he take a chance of missing a double up when the blnds are low, just to put on a little show. He seems too logical for that. It also seems like thats a big disadvantage, he is losing chips and chances to double up against the larger % of fish that are there early.

The computer randomly seats players at certain tables before play begins. The tv producers then pick which table is the best for tv...and make them sit at the featured table.

tooters the same players go to the table randomly. being at it is no disadvantage. you cant refuse. its your table draw. this is not complicated.
