UTG Raise to $3, I Call with 99, SB Calls, BB Folds.

Flop $10 .. SB Checks, Villian Bets $5 only I call.
Turn $20 ... Villian Bet $8, Hero Raise to $24, Villian Calls.
River $68 .. Villian Bet $8.... Hero ???


What's your action here?

He raised $3 from UTG . He obviously doesn't have AKs or AQs of hearts. I lose my stack here if he has the flush, straight or higher set. Also, what's your read on the guy?

Also, who folded on the flop? I'm assuming it was the SB?

Edit 2: I just realized you were 4 handed. I don't play short handed so my advice probably is probably no good.

8 into 68??? That's a blocking bet if I've ever seen one. If he had just caught a big hand he would have bet a lot more. Raise as much as you think he'll call with AQ or QJ.

I'm not so concerned about your river play. It's your flop play that sets up a difficult river.

You have a set on the flop wtih a FD out there. The third flush card either ruins your hand or kills your action (or scares you into just calling).

Raise the flop. This is Tribeca no? Raise the flop to $15 and he calls with QT all the time.

Now the pot is $40 on the turn and its much easier to get him pot committed with even smallish bets AND you're not so worried about a FD anymore. Hand is playing itself.
