Do you mean someone has to have an aggregate lead of 3 stacks, or someone has to lose 3 stacks.

E.g If I lose 3 stacks in the same time period you lose 2 can the game finish? If not it could take a while.

Also maybe time constraint would be better, unless you will allow game to continue on a separate occasion if necessary.

How can you lose 3 stacks AND I lose 2 stacks when its only you and me playing?

To simplify, you cant quit until someone gets to 4000, which means the other guy has to be down 3000 (or 3 stacks).

The point of continuing for that long is to get used to playing deeper stacks heads up. if you quit and start again, you wont be able to start again with more than 1000 (or 1 stack)

We start with 1000 chips each.

You bust me, I rebuy. I then double up from you and end up busting you. You rebuy.
This process repeats until we each have 4000 chips in play, having both rebought 3 times each.
