I'm gonna put this here because I am a total NL cash game noob and this is probably not worthy of space in the NL section. From what I can gather, a large part of NL cash is hitting monster hands that are sort of hard to detect. You wanna hit sets and straights to stack guys with TPTK or overpair. Which makes me curious about how to feel when you are that guy with the overpair.
As I said, NL cash noob. Like, 45 minutes tonight and a few very small dabbles in the past.
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (7 handed)
Hero ($9)
UTG ($3.65)
MP1 ($7.05)
MP2 ($16.50)
CO ($12.60)
Button ($9.85)
SB ($9.90)
Preflop: Hero is BB with , .
2 folds, MP2 calls $0.10, 1 fold, Button calls $0.10, SB raises to $0.4, Hero raises to $1.1, MP2 folds, Button folds, SB calls $0.70.
Flop: ($2.40) 6:h:, 4:h:, 9:d: (2 players)
SB bets $2,
So, here is where I am not sure what to do. Folding isn't an option, and calling seems to be just as awful. I guess raising is the only option, but how much? I haven't been here very long, like the second time in the BB, so no real reads on the opponent's tendencies. He didn't play an outrageous amount of hands in the 15 or so I had seen is about all I have to go on.
All thoughts are appreciated, including on my PF action.
Thanks.
