Min-raises scare the jesus out of me. This is usually a fold for me. However folding to min-raises all the time doesn't seem right. Help?

i really want to check-raise the turn for value. the off-suit 9 is a very good card, no draws got there, and one less set to worry about. i would be confident i had the best hand there.

Thanks guys, if I recall he had QT or some weird shit. First post especially helped me sort this out in my head. Good point about weak turn as well, and noting this sort of thing.

In my experience there's a big difference between a miniraise on the flop and one on the turn.

Miniraise on the flop is often a draw looking for a free card or some weak holding like TPGK wanting to find out where they are or slow you down.

Miniraise on the turn is often made with a strong hand to build the pot and suck the original bettor in.

Flat call flop, minirase turn = scary, get out
Miniraise flop = check/raise or lead turn

If you go to the felt with an overpair every time, youre going to be very easy to play against. Its going to be very hard for me to make a mistake agaisnt you as long as im in position.

Are you going to get stacked with AK on a K74 flop also?
