What kent said. Reraise the turn. It means you have him beat if he thinks he has the best hand with T8. His aggression factor might lead to a push as well which is what we want.

First, next time raise preflop. As much as it sucks to raise, get 2 callers, and then have to act first on an A K 4 flop, you just have to do it.

You didn't mention his VPIP, but if he likes to see a lot of flops then Q9 and 79 are both possible hands. I don't think you can discredit those hands based on his flop call. If he had 97 he was double-gutted, and if he had Q9...well, in my opinion, the kind of people who play Q9 are the kind who will call with a gushot and an overcard.

BUT, you can't be afraid of those hands. As the other saids, you should re-raise the turn and try to get all of your chips in. Every now and then he'll have the straight, but I think more often than not he'll have two pair, a lower set, or a slowplayed AA/KK. And going into the river you still have 10 outs.

That's the worst reason in the world to NOT raise...If you want to call here and try to get more money on the river thats OK( which is probably a mistake at these levels-I either push, or bet enough where he has to think about getting it all in)...Q9 is monster under the bed...Quit worrying and play poker!

Raise pre-flop so you can bet more on the flop. Reraise on the turn. There's no need to worry about Q9, you'd still have plenty of outs as it is.
