Half-stacked terrible turn with KK ($100NL FR)

As far as I know, there's no way to reload at PokerLoco without leaving your seat and sitting back down. The reason I'm half stacked is because my QQ on the cutoff ran into KK on the button the hand before. Usually I would reload, but I'm bonus chasing and can't on this site. Your help with how to play the turn would be greatly appreciated.

Poker Room skin
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.50/$1
8 players

Stack sizes:
UTG: $25.50
UTG+1: $120.10
MP1: $20.00
Hero: $48.40
CO: $99.70
Button: $91.90
SB: $68.50
BB: $82.30

Pre-flop: (8 players) Hero is MP2 with Image Image
UTG calls, 2 folds, Hero raises to $5, 3 folds, BB calls, UTG folds.

Flop: Image Image Image ($11.5, 2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $7, BB calls.

Turn: Image ($25.5, 2 players)
BB checks, what do you do here? (please note I have $35 behind)

I usually would bet the flop harder, but I wanted to try to bring a PP along for the ride if possible and other than an ace there really wasn't any turn I was fearing. How would you guys have played this hand?
The better player should win the race. Always.

Any bet here commits you, a 9 or pp will probably fold to a big bet, a 78 probably will too a flush draw might not, a 6 wont and an A won't. I think you're way ahead or way behind here the majority of the time, so I like the turn check and calling any river bet 15 or below. Also you don't have to leave your seat you just have to sit out to reload, so you can keep the same seat but its still a hassle.

To be honest when I have a short stack like that I would rather bet more on the flop and be left with an easy turn choice.

I like your raise preflop, but once a paired, suited and connected flop comes down I think you have to stop milking a smaller PP and start protecting your hand (which is basically 1 pair..), your bet gives the guy 2.6-1 to call on the flop, lets say he has AxS, he is basically getting good odds to draw to a flush with 1 overcard.

I think you have to check the turn and call a river bet upto 3/4 pot, because a turn check will induce a bluff, but at the same time he could have Ax or a 6 and be looking to check raise you all in on the turn. (I know I would with those stack sizes)

Any read on BB? Would he call with a bare ace on this flop? I think it's more likely that he's got spades or possibly a 6 (maybe more unlikely). Given your stack, you were really in trouble from the beginning. I'd probably shove here since the pot is already about what $25? If he has an ace w/ low kicker he might dump given your raise preflop and smallish bet that might appear to be a CB w/ AK-AQ on the flop.

Also, I wouldn't be too happy with that board. I'd definitely make a bigger bet on the flop and see what happens.
^ No, I didn't limp with that hand.
