Last night I had just started the daily $10,000 ($50 + 5 buy-in) on Empire when I got a call to play at a soft home game. I made a deal with my son ( 11 yrs old) that he could keep 50% of anything he won. He played from 150 players to finish 20th place. He won $100 (just made money). I looked at his hand history and he played tight (10.4 % per PokerTracker) and won coin flips. He went out with KQs vs ATo. So I had to pay up. Maybe I will let him do that again. He had no experience except for 8- 10 home tourneys (w/ 4-6 people). Took him 2.5 hrs to get there. Needless to say I am proud ( I think) . He maybe better than me which is not saying much.



Edit: I played in same tourney tonight and just missed money @ 23rd place. So it is official he is better then me.

LOL that is pretty cool. I really wouldn't expect most 11year olds to have what it takes to be a good poker player, but there are always exceptions. Just quit now and have your son play with your roll instead.
