I don't like your plan of check-folding unless you hit a monster.
You aren't going to hit a monster very often (you're 50:1 to flop twopair, 9:1 to flop a flush draw, etc).
You have to be willing to try to take this pot away on a fair number of flops.
The problem is, you are OOP in a reraised pot so this is not easy to do.
I think suited connectors are way, way overvalued by "good" players in raised and reraised pots.

I agree with Xaston about your hand range on the flop.

Am I the only one who thinks an all-in in this spot is overkill?
I might be crazy, but I think a minraise would accomplish the same thing without getting you stacked off.

Given the way he's been playing, I really don't mind your play PF. I agree that you need to play back at him as often as possible, particularly 4-handed.

He's raised your BB 4 times out of 10, so let's say he's raising 40% of the time (I'm guessing it's somewhat less) on the button and is capable of folding to a re-raise. I'm re-raising this guy to $32 or so with any pair 55-AA, AT-AK, KQ, KJs, QJs, JTs, something like that, possibly some more AX hands and I probably couldn't resist at least A8s or so (maybe any AXs). I don't think the suited connector re-raise is unreasonable, though, but I'm looking more for some fold equity with big card hands (which also do better HU than the suited connectors, although the latter also have some definite value).

However, when he re-raises you back, I like the call, but I think you then do have to put him on some kind of hand (as you do).

I just check-fold this flop, though. The way he played his AK, though, you could stack him if you made exactly the same play with 87s. And my only real complaint here is the all-in check-raise. Up to that point, I'm fine with it.

P.S.: I'm glad to hear that this was uncharacteristic and you haven't gone complete maniac...
