I did neither and became a calling station. I know this hand is not very exotic or challenging, but I'd like to know what you guys would do here. This seems to be one of my main problems--being passive post flop. I recently discovered (thanks to Iceman's sticky post on PFA) that I am running at about a 2.00 compared to 3.00+ for most of the players on this board. Also, I realize the turn call is horrible so no need to berate me on that one.

Fold the flop. Why chase overcards and a backdoor diamond flush. I could see the point of raising but I would prefer folding because I'm probably on the weak/tight side. As for the turn, calling is the worst option. If you don't put him on the flush draw, this is the perfect time to make the bluff and represent it. This would also be read dependent if the SB is good enough to fold. By just calling, you learn nothing and therefore have not much information on what he actually holds to know if you should fire or fold.

Why did you call the bet on the flop? What was your reasoning here?

My (flawed) reasoning was that I had two overcards and that my opponent could be trying to take the pot away with a steal bet. I don't usually try to defend against that just for the sake of it, but I liked my chances at the time. I posted the hand b/c I know that I misplayed it badly. I know calling was the worst option, but I wanted to know from the forum how many people would raise and how many would fold.
