man.. always bet that flop.. unless u kno villian to be a player who only checks the flop OOP after raising pf when he wants to initiate a checkraise.

I kind of agree with him. In my experience, the shorty will call off his stack here so there's no point in bluffing. If the turn was an Ace and he still checked, I would probably bluff, but they just don't give you credit for a K.

Unless he is trying to maybe portray a weak/tight image for later on, I tend to agree with Ice...make a bet and try to take the pot before you get to showdown. Are the shortstacks at this level total donks, or are there enough good playing short stacks to warrant some respect?

I think one of the good points he's making is about not bluffing with showdown value. Perhaps in the back of his mind he was looking for a spot to explain and didn't pick the best one.

I also think 99/TT calls here every time. But I bet this flop most times as his range on the flop is much wider than this, and a good % of it will fold.

Anyone for some SQL queries to see how often you get a fold when you call a PFR with position and they check to you?!
