Table is standard loose/passive, vpip of 50-60%. No individual reads. I've got 97o in the CO, 4 limpers to me and I limp, button folds so I have position and both blinds play so we are 7 to the flop. One guy is short at 30bb, rest have 80-100bb, I have the table covered.

Flop is 9A7 all spades, giving me bottom two on a monotone board. EP player bets 5 into the 7 pot and gets a caller, I pop it to 20 and bettor, BB as well as UTG calls.

Turn is an off suit 4. Two players check and short stack goes all-in for his last 9. I flat call, as does BB, now EP makes a miniraise, I call as does BB.

River is an off suit 7 for a final board of A9774 with three spades. BB checks and EP bets 16 into the ~150 pot, I think for 15 seconds and push. It's 40 for EP to call and 50 for BB. It's a hand reading excercise for sure.

I'm in the BB with Q4o and get a free look with 6 opponents. Flop comes QT4 rainbow. I check and it is checked to the button who bets 2 into the 7 pot. I make it 12 and one player cold calls my raise, button folds. I start with a full buy in and the cold caller has me covered.

Turn is the putting a flush draw on the board. I bet 20 into the 30 something pot, he calls. River is a deuce and I check intending to call a reasonable bet. Play it different?

Don't really like checkraising when I flop two pair, and I think you should go ahead and bet the river in hand #2. I think a Q will pay you more than a draw will bluff.

If youre going to check raise the flop in hand #2, you better do it like you mean it. The entire table is in this hand so theres no telling what they have. I wouldve bet the flop, but if I check raise, I make it about $20. I dont want to check raise and get called 3 times.

Yeah turn made me stop and think. My real worry is that I could be drawing dead against 99 here or super slimp against A/ or A9. When the guy miniraises I come to the conclusion he must have the flush though, he's not trying to get me out but rather suck me in, and since he's not worried about the flush he must have it. I assume that the cold caller is just a moron with the . So I have them on...

The pot is really big by now. It's like 9 to call to win ~120, crazy good odds. I'm still worried of a bigger boat by the river but I don't think his play is a set/two-pair.

BB folded his to my push obviously but bettor called with and shorty had so I dragged a pretty big pot with this modest holding.

I think my check/raise is fine. The pot will be 11 if when I call and I raise to 12 which is 1 away from full pot. It's another 10 to call into a 21 pot so he's only getting 2:1.

I probably should have bet the river though in hindsight. Only draw available is KJ and not that many people cold call with that, I think he has something like KQ or QJ. If he had raised on the turn I would probably have folded, assuming QT or a set who's getting afraid of the flush draw.

At the time I checked because I didn't want to be raised off my hand and I thought there was a good chance he was drawing.
