Update- 8/15/06-

Nothin special happened today...played the $100 rebuy and busted 28th i think...18 get money in that tourney. During the middle stages i lost half my stack with QQ vs K2, yes K2...in preflop.

I also played the $150 freezeout and lost a coin flip..busted. Played the $10 rebuy...lost to a 3 outer on the riv for my stack. busted.

Those plus the 400NL debacle = shitty day

Update- 8/16/06-

Not much to report today. I played the $100 rebuy..spent $309 as usual and came in 13th for $525 after losing a coin flip for most of my chips.

Then tonight i bubbled the $320 freezeout...coming in 30th, top 27 get paid. Because of this hand...

I dont know wtf i was supposed to do with JJ there. It was obvious preflop that he had either AK or a higher PP i thought...but i was getting like 3-1 when he raised...and i knew i would get all his chips if i hit a set. If the flop wasnt all low cards or i didnt hit a set i was done with the hand. I mean is it really possible to get away from JJ preflop there? Should i have waited for a better spot? bah...today just sucked.

Update- 8/17/06-

I played 4 tournaments today...results-

$100 Rebuy on Stars- ended up using 5 rebuys and the addon for a total of $706...i had to make the final table to break even. I hung around with an average to above average stack the whole tourney...until i lost a coin flip when i was in the money. Busted out in 16th. For a profit of -$85.00.

$150 Freezeout on Stars- Had absolutely no cards the entire tourney. Was a short stack the whole way until i busted out in 201st place. No money.

$200 Freezeout on Bodog- My first ever tourney on Bodog. There were only 23 entrants..most of them terrible. Top 3 got paid, i came in 3rd. For a profit of $705.00.

$150 Super Thursday on Party- Built my stack to about average midway in the tourney...then got lucky in a big pot to pretty much double up. I continued to add on to my big stack...staying in the top 10 in chips for most of the tourney. But then i hit a wall right when i made the money...i couldnt get any playable cards. Everytime i tried to steal, somebody would reraise me. I lost about half my stack during this time, making me a bit short. With about 40 left i was still a short stack and pushed with 77 OTB...BB woke up with JJ but i sucked out to double up...making a straight on the riv. I picked my spots and was an average stack entering the final table. Two shorties busted within about an hour. I had been really tight so i made a steal attempt with J4o 1 off the button. SB called a standard raise of 2.5BB. Flop was J82 with two diamonds i think. He checks, i bet half the pot and he goes all in for another 140k or so into a 300k pot. He had a little less chips than me, but i would be effectively done if i lost this hand. I end up calling after thinking that he would make the same move with a flush draw or a medium pair or something. He turned over KK and i didnt suck out. So next hand i pick up AK and double up. I double up again a few hands later with JJ against AJ. Now all of the sudden im back in it with a below average stack. The next hand i pick up KK UTG and raise. A big stack on the button goes all in and i call. He flips over TT and river a T. GG me. Total profit- $3000..I REALLY wanted the 33k for 1st though..argh.

So i guess i made about $3500 today. not bad. But it could have been better. My BR's now up to around 25k, spread around Bodog, Stars and Party.

Update-

So i guess i should update this beast.

On Sunday i played the big tourneys on Stars, Party and Bodog. Busted early on Bodog...then about an hour in at Stars and Party i LOST MY CONNECTION

It was because of a storm...although i dont remember that ever happening to me during a storm....

Then after the storm, i somehow fucked up my computer trying to rush to get connected so i could play. I could get onto Stars..but not Party. It wouldnt connect. Even before i was disconnected i was a shortstack on Stars so i knew i was gonna be in trouble....i had 800 or so with the blinds at 75/150. Wish i could say i made a great comeback..but nah, i pushed with KQs on the first hand and lost to A6.

I tried everything i could think of to get back on Party...I knew it was probably my firewall..so i disabled that. Still didnt work. I tried a couple other things and just gave up. About 5 hours later i tried shutting down my whole virus protection program and of course I was able to connect to Party. wtf.

Since then ive played exactly one tournament and busted early.

I also played some 1000NL while i was pretty wasted and made almost 2k. I was at a friends house and they were like 'play a couple of those $1000 cashgames' and i was like 'fuck yea'

It was awesome. I wasnt drunk enough to not know what i was doing though..so its not like i just got lucky. I played really well i thought...

I also took out another 2k from the BR..that should be it for a couple months. So now my BR sits at about 19k.

I dont know wtf im gonna do about my internet connection. I guess im gonna have to check the weather before every tournament for now on or something. man wtf. How the fuck does a thunderstorm disrupt cable thats underground? lightning? fucking mother nature. die.
