I raise on BTN with to $8, good player in BB calls me

rainbow flop. I bet $12, Villian raise to $28 i re-raise to $60; Villian calls.

Turn is a , villian pushes all-in for $100ish. ANd i fold my nothing and he shows AJo.


I figured he was Check-raising me with nothing so i re-raise but he called the flop... So does this mean he outplayed me; or did he just make a donk call. (he was gettin over 3-1 32 to call in 104 pot). Guess i needed to re-raise stronger. Or just have let him take it down with his flop check raise. Or maybe i shoulda just called then raised most any turn....

Ideally he shoulda folded flop and let me feel like genius. But didnt work out that way

my advice is to turn the 9 so u have him overstraighted and can easily stack him

I don't like your flop 3bet.
If you're gonna do that, it needs to be bigger.

That play will work if you 3-bet like you mean it. However, it is very ill advised without a read.

Here is a hand that I did this with. Villain was stupid aggro and I was sick of him raising everything. In like 65 hands I never saw him make a call. It was fold or raise all the time.
