If I came across as having a lack of respect for Green Plastic, then I apologize. The guy is one of the best players Ive ever seen.

My (hopefully) permanent jump to $5/$10 NL and my 11 PTBB win rate after my 1st 5500 hands has alot to do with me watching the videos. I still cant get a few of the plays to work that work for him, but maybe I trying them in the wrong spots. People fold to this guy like Ive never seen before.

Honestly though, Im not sure alot of his stategies will work all that well at lower stakes.

Ive only watched a couple of the other guys videos. Muddy Waters looks like he knows what hes doing, but hes monotone and boring as hell to listen to. The other guys are mostly playing SNGs and things that Im not interested in right now.

I am getting my study (20" Dell and new desktop PC) set up in a week or so - I am definitely going to join up then and will let you guys know what I think.
There is a sample green plastic vid (I think it's a SH $200 cash game or similar) at cardrunners.com if you want to take a look. A nice induced bluff that is worth the time watching for alone.

Using credit cards you can buy individual vids or subscribe for $50 then a monthly $20 fee. I doubt you can save the vids to disk as they will be streamed and assume that if you buy access on a piecemeal basis you can watch a vid for a certain time period before it expires.

The other option is to pay up joining fee + six months suscription (total $170) by Stars transfer to Green Plastic. I might do this as I have view bankroll money totally differently from my 'real world money' and can also imagine that I might need 6 months to view everything I want to properly (as I have so little time and play MTT's SNG's and cash)

I think the video's are worth it.

to touch on one of Ice's points most of what Green Plastic talks about can be applied to the lower limits. I have effectively used some of his tactics as low as $25 NL (although getting people to fold there is always tough) but if you pick your spots it is fine.

these guys really preach three things as far as I can tell, postition, aggression, and changing gears. All of them do this very well and the video's go a long way to illistrate that.

I have yet to watch a S&G video because I just hate S&G and don't play them and I have only watched a few MTT ones (they can be dull, especially early on) but I plan to watch more as I can definately use the MTT help.

but yes they are worth it even for the lower stakes
