Ok... given that I'm still thinking about this hand a few days later, I thought I'd post it. I think Iplayed this hand like a total idjit. Friday night's FTP 20K guaranteed, blinds are at level (80/160). I've got about 4500 chips, making me about 175/400 or so, with average stack of about 3700. I'm SB with pocket 9s (one club, one diamond). 3 limpers to me, and I raise to 700. All call.
Flop is 9,8,2 -- all spades and I check hoping to get someone to bet for me. No one does, and it occurs to me that only someone who had made the flush or a good draw would. Mistake number one for me?
Turn is another spade (the Jack) and I compound my mistake by going AI for the rest of my chips trying to represent a flush. Two folds, cut off calls and flips over Ace queen (the queen being a spade). I don't fill on the river and I'm out.
Where should I have acted differently, betting the flop? I clearly screwed this up, but I'm not sure where.
