I have two questions about this hand. Before I get into it though, I would like to say that I do understand the importance of varying your playing style. At the level I am playing however, I pretty much assume that people are not watching. I am to develop kind of a “base” style, if that makes sense? I realize that if I do something too often at higher limits people will catch on and trap me. He11, there are a few players at this level that might.
My first question is about a habit I seem to be getting into…
If there are no callers or 1 limper and I am in MP3 or later I have gotten into the habit of raising with any 2 painted cards like the infamous AT or KJ. (I know I was in MP2 in this hand, it was a mistake.) I find it folds out a lot of rags, often buys me the button, and I often take down the pot with my continuation bet. Is this a bad habit?
