My read on my opponent is a rare one. I've played with him a lot. He's one of the top guys in my pokertracker. He's loose aggressive and a very good player.

At the moment we are 7 handed. I'm dealt [Th] in the cutoff. Two limpers to me. I decide to raise it up to get position and get the blinds outs. I want to raise to $5 but accidently raise it to $6. No big deal.

The button calls the $6 raise, (that didn't work) as does the sb. Everyone else folds.

FLOP pot: $21

Good flop for my tens. sb checks. I bet $15 in the the $21 pot. I should have bet $20 here I think. Anyway, the button folds. The sb cold calls. He is the loose-aggressive very good opponent.

Turn pot: $51

Not a horrible turn card for my tens. sb checks again. I go into poker huddle. I really, really want to check this. This guy called a $6 raise preflop out of position and checked/ called a fairly strong flop bet. However, I fear he may be drawing with something like [Ks] or have the 8 for the open-ender. I bet $30 into the $51 pot. Not a monster bet but I thought it was good enough.

The sb now raises my $30 to $60. yikes! Did he hit the 7? Does he have a higher pocket pair then me? Perhaps a semi-bluff [8s]? Why only raise to $60? I only have $10 left if I call his raise. I decide to fold...actually a pretty quick fold for me. He had shown too much strength in this hand. Even if I correctly called him and he was on a semibluff with something like [8s], I wasn't a big favorite. The only thing I was beating "decently" was an all out bluff or maybe [Ks]. I personally am leaning toward him holding aces down with the .

He mucked and left the table. I believe I made the correct play here. Thoughts and comments are appreicated!

Reading this post makes me realise that it's these situations I possibly find trickiest, make it hand of the week! I always seem to get the pressure put on me in these situations.

If I raise pre flop and get 3 or more callers I always try to think that someone has probably called with a 78s or even a 68s or 79s, been caught by a flopped straight with AA a few times.
