Hrm I guess it's been ages since my last update. I've been playing a lot of SNGs in the range from 27s to 114s and having mixed results. I had my biggest losing day a week or so ago to the tune of -$3.5k which was just brutal (you can see it on the graph below, from tourney 530 to 630 or so, and including some cash game and MTT losses, it was a bad day), especially considering it was like 30-40% of my BR at the time. Thankfully i've built most of it back up and i'm back to grinding it out.

My August overall so far has been pretty decent, I feel my SNG game is improving and my winrate has been increasing fairly steadily. I've also started playing some more cash games (1/2 NL) and had good results, I think if I just play solid poker I can win a decent clip in those games.

I've got like 80,000 FPPs to spend aswell, i'm thinking of getting the 24" LCD TV/Monitor that they have for 104k or so. Anyone have any comments on that? I've never heard of a LCD TV/ Monitor before but it looks kinda cool. Either that or I'll get another two 20" LCD s (the samsung ones) and have a sweetass 4-monitor setup. After that I think i'll just spend my points on the Sunday Million entries and buying a tonne of ipods to re-sell. My guess is I make about 100k points a month.

What else.. i've been playing a bit of HORSE aswell with mixed results. I'm probably up about 500 overall in the 5/10 and 10/20 games and another few hundred playing 2/4 and 3/6 while I was drinking. The games are ridiculously soft at the lower levels and still pretty juicy in the higher games, though there are a few regulars who are decent at all the games. I've played a few HORSE HU tournies with Anders and been quite the cardrack in them, winning 4 from 4 i think? Or maybe 3. The first time I was allin as an underdog at least twice and sucked out 8-)

I've been playing a bunch of HU matches as usual this month also and i'm up about $1k in them. ITM is 61.3% which I think is pretty decent for the $100s and $200s. They're too hard to play fulltime I think, even though my winrate there is pretty high, I'll probably just play them sporadically as a change of pace from FR SNGs/Cash games.

I'll try to update this a bit more frequently from now on.

Well August has come and gone. I spent the bulk of the month playing SNGs with a mix of MTTs and spent very little time playing cash games, all with mixed results. The past couple of months i've been bouncing up and down with my BR and not really growing it at all. I think my high-point was around $15k with my low-point being around $4k (that was a scary time). It's funny, a couple of months ago I was shitting myself over losing $500 in a day and when I had my biggest winning day od +$700 I was ecstatic. Now I find myself losing/winning thousands some days (biggest loss I think was about $3.5k one day and biggest win in a day was around $2.5k) and it doesn't effect me emotionally as much. Whether that's good or bad i'm not sure yet but i'm leaning towards good as i've heard a lot of top players (doyle brunson for one) say to be a truelly great poker player you have to have a certain disregard for money. Nonetheless i've had an up and down couple of months and plan for that to change in September. I'm not only changing poker, but my whole lifestyle. Eating properly, excercising everyday, working out again. Sleeping well and drinking less. Hopefully this will keep me more focused and in a better state of mind for when I sit down to play poker. I'm going to try not to donk off $50 here and there in a small cash game, or buyin to a $100 MTT and play my C game as i've been doing a bit lately. If all goes well, I hope to win $10,000 in September (not including bonuses/rakeback/FPPs).

I've made a prop bet with Shamdonk to intice us both to put more hours in. He has to play 20,000 hands in September and I have to play 1,000 SNGs or 50,000 cash game hands (or a mix, say 500 SNGs and 25k hands). The loser of the bet pays for the winners entrance into a $215 Sunday Million and also gets 10% of their action. If we both meet our target, noone pays. Similarly if neither of us meets our goal then noone pays. It should be fun.

I played for about 3 hours today and had pretty good results. SNG-wise I basically broke even but I finished the day with an awesome 40minute long NL200 session, 8-tabling the 6max tables. I hit some good hands and made some good reads and felt like I was playing my A+ game. I also didn't get sucked out on in any big pots, which really helped.

Thanks hard. Btw are you free tomorrow to play our HU match?

Today was a great day for poker. I decided to start off with some cash game play and picked up right where I left off yesterday, running at 35ptbb/100 for about an hour. I played some wc3 for a while then put in a set of SNGs afterwards while mucking around in a $0.02/$0.04 stud and stud8 game with some of the IRCDonks, I think I even made about 3c there!

September
Tourneys Played: 30
Total Profit: $88
ROI: 5.4%
Time Played: 3.5 Hours

Stars $200 NLHE 6max
Hands played: 1,031
Total Profit: $1,524.35
Time Played: 1.73 Hours

Overall
Time Played: 5.23 Hours
Total Profit: $1,612.35

I'm off to play in a live tournament tonight and maybe some cash game play after that, i'll start counting those results in my monthly totals too.
