Hi there
Ehrm my posting got a bit long, i'll mark the section you don't have to read to answer my actual question.
-------------------------------------
Let me begin with what kind of player I am.
PT tells me i played 5800 hands, well must be more because I played on my laptop too.
I started with 50 dollars, got it up to 130 (incl. 25 $ bonus) and am down to 7 dollars at the moment
PT tells me I'm a sLP A player according to your player rules. Even though I think I changed my style to more aggressiv and ways more tight, which turned out to be a bad thing anyways (btw how to only check the last 1000 hands or something?) I guess my main problem is the 'not recognizing' to have been beaten. Play AQo with a preflop raise, hit top Pair Q on the flop, keep playing aggressiv and lose on the showdown against a straight or 2 pairs. And if i lose, it's often more (all in?... grml) than I'd win normally with a really good hand.
I played aggressiv a lot, not recognizing the big raise on the turn or maybe even the flop means my 2 pairs are worth nothing.
I won and lost most of my money on the NL 25$ table with smallest blinds.
My question is now, is it a good idea to start playing Limit Hold'em and using pokercharts?
I read I can analyze my odds very easily with it, and my main problem is not recognizing that there could be an idiot calling my raises because he only needs 2 cards postflop for a straight and hitting them and me not seeing the possibility for a straight.
I played limit a bit and saw that most of the players were tight, table average 15-25 percent. Didn't like it and didn't like the small raise postflop but well, i guess that's exactly what I have to learn?
-------------------------------------
So what do I need for pokercharts, is it easy to get started with it and would you suggest to me playing limit hold'em?
Which book would you suggest? I'm not going to buy hundreds of books because I'm a poor student... the 50 dollars I lost are worth a lot to me so, if you'd have to suggest 1 book, which one would it be?
My partypoker account is nearly ruined now... so I'd say i'll open a new one somewhere else because of the bonus? If i start with 50 dollars, 25 dollars bonus are a lot.
Even tough i like the calling machines and dumb players in party...
Last question, everybody tells me play TAA... but well, if I hit nothing on the flop and I have lets say 2 opponents, and I have 2 overcards, would you bet anyways?
Greetings
