How many of us have seen ourselves do this time and time again? Amazing. Everytime you start losing, you go back and look over your hands and see where you fell prey to the dreaded
Mike Caro wrote about it years ago and it's been a proven theory over and over. Yet, even the best of us fall into the trap. I know I do with regularity.
However, this is also how you grow as a player. If you never get into FPS, you're never, ever going to be a top player. It's like a kid who pushes too far and has to get smacked when he does. He learns where the limits of behavior are and adjusts accordingly. Same thing with players. You learn something new, push it too far, get smacked, tighten up, but the experience allows you to play at a much more mature level.
Cool game, huh?
Nice post, iceman.
