Two early limpers and I post in cutoff with 86o. SB completes and BB checks.

1. Flop 775 rainbow (pot $5) and it checks around to me: I bet $4.50 and an early limper calls.

2. Turn comes Q (pot $13): He checks I check

3. River comes 4 (pot $13): I bet $10 and he raises it to $32. Call this?


Anyone play this differently? Most people try to steal/get two cards by betting the flop with position?

most of the 7's that a typical player will limp with are not boated up here.

a river CR is usually very strong. but bad players at low stakes typically think of any 7 as "very strong," regardless of board, action, or context.

you will sometimes see 77 or 44. less often you'll see QQ, Q7, 74. but you'll see a whole lot of 97/87/76/75/A7, a few random bluffs or donks w/ AA, and an occasional split.

i think the % breakdown goes roughly like this:

55% random 7 that you beat
40% boat
5% bluff, AA, split.
