I think a lot of the time people think you're raising with an A there and when they don't see one on the flop they assume you missed.

As a side note I'm curious because I know there's some people who sometimes make this play fairly regularly (don't know if you do or don't but). Why raise something like a J9o when you'll be playing the entire hand OOP post flop? I'm just wondering what the pros/cons are to raising when it's SB vs. BB as opposed to just completing?
