No this isn't a brag thread, I have a question here.
first a little history. This table is extremely passive. Lots of limping and folding to raises. I have raised on the button 4 out of the last 6 times and have the table fold it to me, twice with 4 limpers! However when people do see flops there is some crazy action with mediocre hands.
ok so two limpers to me and I raise on the button because I have 9[d] 6[d] and that's just the type of guy I am
both limpers call
flop comes 7[d] 8[d] T[d]
UTG bets $12 into a $12 pot, Cut off folds
so now it's to me, UTG has about $37 behind.
do I shove now or smooth call? I think an argument can be made either way. Obviously he likes his hand, but I have no idea if he likes his hand because he has some crazy straight/high diamond combo draw, or he likes it because he has a set, or something else.
I am slightly afraid a diamond or a straight card could kill my action, in fact almost any card that falls could be bad for me in terms of killing my action.
so raise or call?
