I figured i only beat A2-7 or a bluff. Also ima chop 44% of the time against that Ax range. Im thinkin this was a bad fold though. THoughts?

A lot depends on villain. If he is an aggro then....yeah, weak fold.

If he is a passive, then safely deposit this in the muck.

Maybe Ant should pay me for being his bitch, but again I agree. A8 beats 50% of Ax. So with A9 I check-call it down and hope for the best unless the villian is very tight.
