Well I got rediculed a little today about having lost 8 buy ins when I first got here and about needing to improve my table selection. I only managed my 14th win in a row to the tune of 470.00 while just dominating a weak table throughout the session so I guess I will have to take it. I have nearly finished Angel Largay's NL book and I agree with most everything he talks about and find it pretty comforting that my style of play pretty much mimics a long term winner at the NL tables.
A couple of hands from today. The table is pretty passive and I limp in EMP with 53o behind a couple of limpers and it gets raised to 10.00 and three people call and I decide to call as well. The flop is QJ2 rainbow and it is checked to the raiser who bets 15.00 into about a 50.00 pot. It is folded back to me and I raise it to 65.00 and after a little contemplation the raiser calls the bet. The turn is an offsuit 9 and I bet 100.00 and he folds. His flop bet just looked very weak and was asking to have the hand taken away from him.
The second hand I limp in EP with AJs and about 5 others limped in. The flop came down A Q J rainbow. I bet 8.00 into a 12.00 or so pot and got raised to 20.00 by a pretty solid player. It is folded back to me and I reraise to 60.00 which he pretty quickly called. His call of my reraise was pretty scary at that point. The turn was a rag and I bet 50.00 into about a 130.00 pot and he nearly insta raised me all in for about 300-350 more. I folded the hand as I don't thing there was anyway he calls my reraise on the flop and then makes this over the top raise on the turn without having me beat.
