This is a general question.

Let say you play 200NL 6 Max (it seems to me that the float is much more common here than in 100NL 6Max.)

A known floater limps in MP, you get AA (KK, QQ) in BB, and make a standard raise 4-6BB. Floater is the only caller. Or you raise in early position and he calls in position.



Flop comes all low cards like 853 with flush draw, you CB and he calls. As he is a known floater he has a very broad range here starting from PP like 77, TP, middlepair, flush draw, straight draw and probably even a set.

What you do if turn is a blank
a) J, T, 2 offsuit?
b) completes a flush draw?
c) completes a straight draw and could give him 2 pairs 9, 7, 6, 4?

Please provide some reasoning.

My options
a) I like to go for a check raise, mostly to stop his floats in the future.
b) I would bet 2/3 pot.
c) Not sure, depends on the opponent, probably check-call, evaluate the river.

If hes a known floater, then that means he mustve shown down some hands so that you saw he called flop with nothing. In this case, you should know what he does on the turn after floating the flop.

If he likes to bet the turn to take it away, then you should check raise the turn.
