I'd probably look to buy in for 200BBs (not much different to playing slightly deep online) and more or less nut-peddle. At those levels there won't be too many opportunities to do anything too outrageous so just play straightforward and you should do fine. Live PLO is, in general, a fair bit weaker than online. There'll probably be a lot of PFRing though so you'll be glad to have a bit more then 100BBs in front of you for implied odds reasons, although obv. it depends on your comfort level and BR, i'm not sure what you play online. Be prepared to stack off with hands you might consider folding online (i.e. 2nd set to a re-raise) especially if you're playing fairly short. People who play live PLO are wanting to play an action game and it's tough to have the patience in a live game when there's maybe 20 hands/hr tops compared to online where you can be playing several hundred/hr, so bear in mind that people will be quite loose, and take advantage.
Don't insist on the dealer counting down the pot so you can "bet pot" all the time - just throw out a bet close to the pot size by estimate (obviously slightly smaller!). It'll save a lot of time and won't infuriate the other players.
Good luck!
