Barring a read, does this kind of semi bluff ever work at my levels. FIWI I would probably play a set the same way.

CR the flop...don't lead with that trash...he's got an overpair and if you want to suggest BIG strength, then CR. He's not going to put you on a monster that hit a rag board unless you CR. This is why we lead with SETS! Because they DON'T believe us...so don't lead semi- bluff when they're not inclined to believe you anyway.
