hero has full stack all villans cover...I pick up AdAc in ep and raise to 2.5... 2 callers. (pot= 8) flop comes ks ts 8h, i bet out 6.5 mp mini raises, lp folds. (pot = about 21, 6.5 to me) so here is what i am thinking now.... this guy probably had one of 2 types of hands 1. a made 2 par/ set or 2. a draw and he's semi-bluffing/ trying to see a cheap river. w/ this board it is far more likely he is drawing. i know the best defense against a semi-bluff is just to raise but i decide to just call and here is why: if i re-raise i will cut off most draws but i will get stacked by a set. if i call i can see what the turn card is and run away like a little girl if it completes an obvious draw (ie. spade ...and a 9 or a q would suck too) ... if it is a blank i now have much greater pot equity against draws and, while i am still probly loosing a huge chunck to a set, (cuz i have to bet out turn to protect against draws) i was getting stacked (or almost stacked) by a set if i raise the flop anyway. Does this make sense? am i crazy?
