First 20 hands so no real reads. UTG has a $75 stack. I cover.

UTG, button, and SB limp. I check from the BB with [9c].

1. Flop comes [9h][Td] (Pot $4): I lead out for $4. UTG min raises me to $8.
Button and blinds fold.

What's my plan here? Do I really want to go crazy on a $4 pot OOP with pretty obvious trips and no kicker? Or since he's UTG do I have to take this to the felt?

Should......

A) Stop-N-Go, leading out $15 on the turn and folding to a push.
B) Sop-N-Go, leading out $15 on the turn and calling a push
C) Reraise him on the flop and go to the felt if necessary.
D) Reraise him on the flop and be ready to fold if he calls or rereraises.
E) Checkraise the turn.
F) Call down.

i would have check-called flop.

as played, i call here. i think either leading turn or check-calling turn is fine. depends on villain and his propensity to bet. if you lead turn, fold to a big raise. if you check-call turn, probably check-call most rivers as well.

I really don't like check-calling this flop here..... there are so many possible straight draws out there and if they don't have one they can easily have a pocket pair.

But as I said this was an odd hand. Can you explain why you'd check a bit more?

the problem is this: a straight draw will likely call your bet, and so will a 9 with a higher kicker. you're out of position against a large field and a flop bet will give you no information and you will be forced to bet the turn. unless your opponents will pay off lots with a 10. in that case, bet away.

you really dont want to make this pot big. in an unraised pot....how much money will people put in with anything that you beat?
