Ive come to this conclusion in 6 max games

I would much rather open raise with 65s than AA and I would much rather call a raise (or reraise) with AA than open raise with it.

OK, here are a few scenarios

$5/$10 NL 6 max

#1) UTG limps, I raise to $50 in MP with [As]. UTG calls.

Pot $115. Flop [4s][3h]. I bet $95. UTG check raises to $280. How good do you feel?

#2) UTG raises to $40. I reraise to $120 in MP with [As]. He calls

Pot $255. Flop [4s][3h]. I feel REAL good now. Im going to the felt with this hand every time.

#3) UTG raises to $40. I flat call in MP with [As].

Pot $95. Flop [4s][3h]. He bets $80. Im felting this hand also.

#4) I open raise to $35 on the button with [As]. BB calls.

Pot $75. Flop [4s][3h]. He checks, I bet $65 and he calls.
Pot $205. Turn . he checks.....What do I do? What if he leads $140?

#5) I open raise to $35 on the button with [5h]. BB calls.

Pot $75. Flop [4s][3h]. He checks, I bet $65 and he calls.
Pot $205. Turn . Hand plays itself

What about a J32 flop? Again, its easy with 65s. I bet the flop and win 75% of the time when he folds. I give up the rest of the time unless I hit the gutshot. With AA, these hands are much tougher against good players. Basically the suited connectors are like small pairs....you win a small pot, lose a small pot, or win a big one. You almost never lose a big pot.

When you get to 2/4 and higher, you will not be getting paid off handsomely with big pairs like you do at low stakes. You cant bet all 3 streets with AA on a J85 flop and expect to have the winner very often. I think that is the one single factor that results in lower win rates at higher stakes. So to make up for that, you need to be able to make money on other hands like suited connectors
