I prefer a flop lead here of $30, he will obviously read from his book learning that small lead into PFR = trying to get a cheap draw and raise on principle I think in most cases. then you can checkraise the turn all in.

I cant imagine youre getting much more than that from him. Maybe if he has KK of the flush suit and you lead into him, you may get him all in, but I like the way you played it better,

I think you get more money long term playing it this way.

If I'm quite confident that I can outplay him, I'll call with all manner of connecting cards.

Oh, and I'm pretty sure that the turn was a T and the river was the 4.
Because he was talking after the hand that you could have had JT and been counterfeited.

I like getting more active before the river, though. Both betting out and check-raising the flop have their places. For some reason, I don't like raising the turn, not sure why, but if I just called the flop, I think I'd probably play it the way you did.

A lot depends on how confidently/aggressively this guy plays. Against an opponent who'll raise to find out where he's at, I think I like the following line: Bet, he hopefully raises substantially, and you flat call. I think this looks a lot like the naked A. With that line, I think I'd then hope that he'd bet the turn, which I'd check-raise. If he checked behind, I'd hope for a blank river and push it.
