I just played a TERRIBLE session of poker. Within 10 minutes I was on tilt. It isn't "bad beats" per say that get me on tilt, it's when every single CB you make with a missed AQ/AK gets re-raised allin, and everytime you hit the board hard, your measly CB gets folded to. It's when there's someone with $50 sitting on the table and he flat-calls a raise to $8, I re-raise to $30 with KK and he calls, the flop comes A-high and he's sitting on A4. It's that kind of crap.

When I go on tilt it's not reckless chip spewing raising with J2o or anything - it's more making bad calls/over aggressive plays. I raised with A8 in the CO and the flop came AKJ with 2 clubs, half-stack checks and I bet $20, he CRAI to $90 or so - I figure, there's a decent chance he has a weak ace like me, or is on the flush draw, or has KQ/JQ type hand so I call. Nope, QT.

Regardless, I still ended the session ahead by a buyin or so. I took a small break near the start and ended my tiltyness and hit some nice hands - though I still made one bad bluff (I think?): I have AKs in the BB and UTG raises to $6, 3 people call and I raise to $30. A decent TAG regular calls. Flop comes 55Tr and I bet $54 or something. He calls. Turn is a 6 and I bet $100 - he ended up pushing. I can't imagine what he had, my best guess is 55/66/56, or he made a balls move with 77/88/99. I figure he re-raises TT+ preflop.

Anyway. Not spewing chips is something i'm trying to work on and I think it'd possible double or even triple my winrate. So far this month is going pretty damn good. Right around hand 3,800 is where I started playing badly and I ended it at hand 4,000 or so:



Seeing as I fell asleep so early last night and woke up at like 3am this morning, I have no idea what i'm going to do for the rest of the day. I don't particularly feel like playing much poker. HMMM. I think i'll go buy season 1 of Prison Break.

JTs allin on the flop to K7, flop was K84 with 2 of my suit. He check, i bet pot, he re-raises to 50, i push for 200, he insta-calls?!??!
Blah blah blah..didn't hit any sets, no action on other hands, etc etc.
