I've been playing rather actively, raising a lot preflop. Villian has full stack I cover.

Some history with the villian:
I have notes on him from previous sessions: 'minbets to provoke'. He sat down about 3 orbits ago and we played with him this one.
I raise QJo in MP he called from blinds, flop T83rainbow, he leads 2!!! I call, turn A, he leads 2 I call, river J he leads 2 I call. (I was sure that I was beat all the way given the read, but I wanted to see his hand, so I called the river. On flop I had odds to chase my gutshot.) He showed T8s for 2 pairs.

So the hand:
I raise to 7 UTG, 3 callers, including the villian in the BB.

Flop (29):
BB leads 15, I raise to 40, folded to BB who calls.
Turn (109) :
BB checks, I?

Up to here it is standard IMO.

The main question: Am I ahead here?
(If he minebet I wouldn't bet the turn here. )

What is my play?
a) bet 80, what you do if he raises?
b) check, what is your plan for the river?
c) other suggestions?

to Ice:
I can't raise too much on flop, there is 2 callers to act after me, and they can have a monster. Calling I don't like either as one of them can call too with very little and I will be stuck without position in a 3 way pot.

to dennerman:
I am sure that he doesn't have AJ, he would minbet it. He has a very peculiar betting pattern (see reads). I doubt that he would come over the top with AK.

- If you call his flop bet everyone behind is getting odds on thier flush draw so he can't be too happy with his hand.
he is not a good player, I doubt that he understands this concept (see reads and history).

No offence, but your analysis a bit off the point, as the opponent is not the one to worry about the draws etc. You need to take into account the reads here.

No I think your flop raise is too weak as wel, you're inviting him odds to call there with just about everything. If an opponent behind you calls that/raises then its an easy fold. With your small flop raise if someone behind has a flush draw they may call $40 whereas they won't call 50.

TP isnt that strong of a hand against 3 people. You either need to flat call so you dont bloat the pot and be ready to fold to heat...or REALLY raise the flop to protect your hand.

That raise isnt going to get rid of flush chasers, especially if they have something else to go with it, like a gutshot ...[9h] or [Th]
