I have a full stack on the button. UTG has lost about 2 buyins already, and seems to be a bit of a loose cannon who likes to play top pair for his stack. UTG+1 seems a bit loose preflop, but hasn't done anything weird. He has a full stack.

My image is probably a bit weak, as I also stacked off twice, once when my AA got allin against AK preflop, and another time in a blind battle when I had Q7 on a Q75 flop where my opponent held 75 and rivered a 5. I haven't really changed my play, but people may think I'm tilty, or at least vulnerable/beatable.

UTG ($90 behind) raises to $4, UTG+1 flat calls, I call on button with [Jc]. I know, dubious, but in this case I thought that I could stack UTG if I hit two pair when he has something like AK or AQ. Obviously I'm not going very far with it if I just hit one pair.

Flop: (3 players, pot=$13): [Js][Tc]. UTG checks, UTG+1 bets $7, I raise to $30 ??? UTG folds, UTG+1 thinks for a while and pushes allin.

I really don't like calling this, as I can only beat AK, AQ, AT, JT, or a flush draw. Am I ahead often enough to call the $65 or so for a $200+ pot? Is the flop raise really bad?

The moral is probably that these preflop calls bring you in ugly spots.

I agree re: calling an EP raise with AJ isn't a good idea.

I think you just have to look at the pot odds here Ojingo - if it's $65 to win $200 that's better than 3-1. You may be good here already - Villian may have led and raised all in a flush draw, a combo draw with something like , or a worse two pair combo if he is loose like you noted above.

I call here - he's hoping to fold you out, and even if he's got KQ or TT or makes a flush, you have 4 outs to win. Only vs. AA or JJ are you basically drawing dead/virtually dead.
