OK so Ive had absolutely no desire to update this at all.
I have been very determined with my poker lately.
When last I updated, I was at home sick with a cold, on one of those days I was 'quarantined' in my house (stayed home from work and the wife wanted me away from the babies due to sickness), so I played a 4k hand session over 13 hrs.
This isnt a typo.
Blah blah blah you can guess how this turned out. Somewhere around 8 buy ins down. Not sure what possessed me to do such a thing. Im sure it started out as ridiculous outdraws which then caused passive permatilt blah blah blah etc etc etc, you all know the drill. It has to happen from time to time, its got a good purging effect like a nice solid dump.
Anyway, I was so pissed at my degenerate self for playing that day and not just taking it easy, watching movies etc...that despite being overrolled for 500NL, I forced myself to move down to win back the shortfall. I guess my inspiration in this was the anecdote on Ted Forrest in the book about the big game, any of you who've read it will know the one.
Whatever, so I moves back down to 200NL 5 max, and have been 4 tabling at a rate of like 9ptbb/100. Never before have I felt such a degree of control over my opponents. I think that this temporary 'demotion' has done quite a bit for my poker. I have won back all that was lost that day size], which was no small feat in just shy of 2 weeks of 200NL. SO thats a good thing. I think for the moment I might relaease myself from the crushing self-pressure of moving back up and the ridiculous 2kk swings in each session. More importantly dropping down reintroduced at least some small measure of fun into the game.
As for the Govt issues, I will withhold comment until we go fwd a bot - no use panicking and getting our collective panties in a bunch until we need to.
Fuggin Yanks looked great last night - anyone still doubt that Derek Jeter in your AL MVP?
Lost Season 3 kicks off tonight - if you aqint watching that, you should be.
