I had [Js] [Jd] in MP, four off the button. 4/8 limit hold'em, nine handed, pretty loose game, but the 3 to my right are playing pretty tight. I raise to $8 preflop, cutoff, button, SB and BB call. Flop is seen five way.

Pot is $40. Flop come down [9c] [7s] [4h]. I like it alot. Checks to me, I bet out. Cutoff and button fold, SB and BB call.
The SB is a woman who has shown one or two hands where she had TP w/o a kicker, and she lost both hands...she has shown even though she didn't need to. BB is someone who if he catched any pair or draw on the flop will probably call down the whole way, so I am happy now...until the turn.

Pot is $64. Turn is [9s]. SB now bets out, BB calls.
Does the SB have the nine? This is the only question that rings through my brain. The pot has ten big bets and it will cost me at least two to see the river. I think for about ten seconds, and then fold.

River was the [2c]. SB and BB both check...I now think I made a mistake.
SB had [Ts] [4s], and BB won the hand w/ 76o. I almost lept out of my seat because I couldn't believe it...I felt like a move was put on me, and it was, even if she didn't realize it.
Now I think I played it wrong, maybe I should have been aggressive and raised to find out where I was which would have cost the same amount and punished the BB for staying in w/ his crap. Either that or called down the turn...but I really thought I was drawing to two outs. This woman proceeded to buy in twice more while I sat there...and I didn't even sit there more than two hours.

So, what would you have done?

I usually fold this too. This seems to be read dependant and normally a raise or fold situation. If you really thought you had the best hand, you should raise, if not, fold. Most of the time you will see that person show down trips.

I fold and get em next time. They are obviously weak players and over time you will come out way ahead. I am constantly frustrated by this kind of play on line all the time. I see weak players make bad calls and bets only to hit the river or drive out better hands but usually within an hour or two they are rebuying or leave the table.

Good Fold.

I fold this. You know the SB will call your flop bet with top pair/no kicker, and you have the BB to worry about as well. There aren't enough bets in the pot to justify continuing -- you'll lose too often here.

After you see SB's standards for betting, you can adjust accordingly in the future.

In the SB's position, I would lead out if I had trips here to get my bet in because being the leader in position tends to buy you another free card if you want it...when the board pairs top pair, I am concerned that someone has trips and will checkraise me. Using my logic, I would bet it if I had hit trips on the turn to make sure that those in the hand are paying for their draws. I rarely slowplay hands in limit and NL unless I am sure of the aggressiveness of an opponent to bet for me.

If I were to use your logic and assume she isn't betting top pair, what am supposed to think she is betting? There isn't much there to swing away w/...I feel the assumption that she has a monster hand is easier to grasp than the fact she is betting a draw. It's very uncommon to see someone bet a flush draw board on the turn after just calling on the flop. It confused me...which is why I should have called(if confused, call - I like that rule).

BTW, the SB passively called down the two hands w/ TP no kicker. This was the first aggressive move I saw her make at the table. Also, it would have cost me at least two bets I would say about 95% of the time if I raise here, but I prefer raising to calling down to find out where I am at...there were enough bad players to make up for that one hand that is for sure...
